Juneteenth is a national holiday that celebrates the emancipation of enslaved Texans two years after the signing of the emancipation proclamation in 1863. The Center for Black Literature & Culture 9th Annual Bookfest will offer a glimpse of African American experience through arts, literature, and storytelling.
