The CBLC 6th Anniversary Celebration

Central Library | October 14, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The CBLC 6th anniversary is a celebration of the accomplishments of the Center for Black Literature & Culture. The CBLC remains a place for all to learn about those of the African Diaspora, and for those of African roots to see themselves reflected in powerful and positive ways. This year’s event will contain many different attractions — performance from Sapphire theater co., spoken word performance from the CBLC Poet Laureate Januarie York, and a panel discussion on women's culture as it pertains to health & wellness, Entrepreneurship, and community. Come jam with DJ IN4RED and take a photo in the 360 photobooth as well when you visit on October 14th. See you there!

Registration is now closed.

Due to the overwhelming responses for this year's Anniversary Author Tabling event, we have reached capacity, and are no longer able to take submissions. For those not picked this year, we will keep all your information for future events at IndyPL & CBLC events.
